In Oyster Bay, free mall walking program offered

Registration is underway for the Town of Oyster Bay’s free mall walking program.

The program runs from Nov. 4 to Dec. 5, excluding holidays, and is offered at two locations: Broadway Mall in Hicksville and Westfield Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.

The Hicksville program starts Nov. 4 and runs on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the Massapequa program starts Nov. 7 and runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Hicksville walkers meet in front of the escalator near the Ikea entrance, while Massapequa walkers meet inside on the main level in front of J.C. Penney.

Registration forms can be picked up at Town Hall North and South, community parks and at local libraries. They can be returned to the Recreation Division at Town Hall South, Parks Department, 977 Hicksville Rd., Massapequa, or handed in the first day of the program.
