Immigrants looking to learn more about government services and community resources in their neighborhoods will have a chance to do so at an information fair hosted by the New York State Department of Labor.

“Immigrants Connect 2012” will bring together at one Roosevelt location representatives from state and federal government agencies ranging from social services to those that assist entrepreneurs starting their businesses, as part of a statewide initiative to reach out to immigrant communities.

Mark Grossman, Long Island representative for the labor commissioner’s office, said the event will present “an opportunity to learn about a broad range of government and community services that are available to the growing immigrant population on Long Island.”

The gathering will take place Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Memorial Presbyterian Church, 189 Babylon Tpke. in Roosevelt.
