It's what's on the inside that really matters.

While the diamonds, sapphires and white gold on the outside of the Giants' Super Bowl rings are as flashy and opulent as you might expect, the few words engraved on the ring's underside, where few will be able to see them, are most likely what will stick with the players who were set to receive the jewelry at a ceremony last night.

Two phrases that captured the essence of the season are etched inside the rings. On one side it says "ALL IN," the rallying cry for the team at the end of the season and throughout the playoffs. And on the other side is, simply, "FINISH," which was the theme Tom Coughlin instilled in the team from the first day of training camp to the moment Tom Brady's Hail Mary pass hit the turf in the end zone in Indianapolis.

"We definitely wanted 'Finish,' we definitely wanted 'All In,' " said Justin Tuck, who helped design the ring. "Those were two things we prided ourselves on, not only during the season, but especially through the playoff run."(Newsday)
