Inventors, entrepreneurs urged to attend workshop

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano invites local inventors and entrepreneurs to a “Financing Your Dream” workshop to learn about small business loans, microloans, nontraditional financing and grant opportunities.

This workshop runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Ceremonial Chambers at county headquarters in Mineola.

Mangano said he was proud to join Brian Fried, president of the Nassau County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club, “in launching .?.?. a think-tank forum for up and coming entrepreneurs to launch their inventions, which are the seeds to job creation and economic growth.

“I encourage investors and marketing professionals to attend our intellectual property showcase of unique gadgets, gizmos and innovative products.”

Besides Fried, the workshop panel includes Roslyn D. Goldmacher, president and chief executive of the Long Island Development Corporation, and Elli Papadopoulos, loan officer at the Grow Nassau Fund. The evening’s moderator will be Nicholas Terzulli, director of business development at the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency.
