The Island Park Village Board will hold a public hearing Monday on the tentative $3.6-million budget for the fiscal year beginning June 1.

The board will consider whether to keep the same annual compensation paid to each board member. Currently, the mayor receives $15,000, and each of the four trustees receives $10,000.

The largest items in the proposed budget are $969,560 for general government, $666,476 for home and community services, $653,000 for employee benefits and $630,514 for public safety and health.

A copy of the proposed budget is available during regular office hours at the Village Clerk's Office. The hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Village Hall, 127 Long Beach Rd.
