Sophomore Alannah Basile had a complete performance Wednesday, striking out 10 in a no-hitter and hitting a home run to lift Island Trees to a 7-0 victory over New Hyde Park in a Nassau Conference ABC-I softball game.

Basile's homer, a two-run shot in the top of the fifth inning, gave Island Trees (4-1) a 6-0 lead.

Smithtown East 12, Copiague 0: Junior Rebecca Stopsky pitched a five-inning no-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks for her first varsity win for Smithtown East (7-0) in a Suffolk League III/IV crossover. Holly Russell went 2-3 with two runs scored.

Mepham 8, MacArthur 6: Alexis Ferrero went 4-for-4 with two home runs, including a grand slam and seven RBIs, including a grand slam for Mepham (3-3) in Conference AA-I.

Westbury 11, Elmont 10: Monica Bailey scored on Guadalupe Gonzalez's single in the bottom of the seventh to win it for Westbury (2-3) in Conference AA-III. Cathy Lindor went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Dragons.Rocky Point 4, Comsewogue 0: Annie Kennedy struck out nine in a one-hitter to lead Rocky Point (3-3) in a Suffolk League V/VI crossover.

St. John the Baptist 4, Our Lady of Mercy 0: Kaitlin Hoffmann tossed a three-hitter with no walks and 11 strikeouts and went 2-3 with a walk and an RBI to lead St. John the Baptist (7-3) in CHSAA.

BASEBALL

Bellport 3, Comsewogue 2: Garrett Clark's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth that scored Mike Rupolo gave Bellport (7-3) a 3-2 lead in League V. Clark struck out three and gave up six hits in the win.

Sayville 2, Harborfields 1: Joe Kacinski scored the go-ahead run on a fielder's choice in the top of the seventh to lift Sayville (7-3) in League VI. Matthew Seeba struck out two in a complete-game win.

Hempstead 5, Westbury 2: Jonathan Cuas pitched a four-hitter with six strikeouts for Hempstead (1-7) in Countywide. Manny Guzman was 2-3 with two RBIs in the win.

Kellenberg 6, St. Mary's 0: Robert Kelly allowed three hits and struck out five in four innings for Kellenberg (6-2) in CHSAA. Tim Lane went 2-for-2 in the win.

Bellmore JFK 16, Herricks 10: Christopher Jones had three goals and six assists, with all his scores coming during a 10-0 run in the second half for Bellmore JFK (2-1 Nassau Conference II). Dan Hartman had four goals in the win.Mepham 13, Calhoun 10: Chris Vento scored two of his four goals in the third quarter as Mepham (2-1) overcame an 8-6 halftime deficit in Conference II.
