Islip Town will co-sponsor a Fourth of July fireworks show and festival at the Bay Shore Marina. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m., to cap a daylong festival that will feature food and entertainment.

Pronto of Long Island, a Bay Shore-based nonprofit community outreach, advocacy and educational group, is co-hosting the event and will benefit from it by raising money with  corporate sponsorships.

Fireworks  by Grucci will produce the nighttime display over the Great South Bay. The show is expected to last more than 20 minutes.

“This will be a great time to come out and enjoy good food and entertainment and a state-of-the-art fireworks show,” said town Supervisor Phil Nolan, who thanked Pronto for its “hard work in the community.”
