The Carle Place-based law firm Leeds Morelli & Brown has picked up another well-known client: Jenni "J-Woww" Farley, of the hit MTV show "Jersey Shore."

Farley, 25, of Franklin Square, appears as a confident, hard-partying girl on the show, which has been the subject of complaints from the National Italian American Foundation and the Jersey Shore Convention & Visitors Bureau. Domino's Pizza was among advertisers reported to have stopped sponsoring the show.

Len Leeds, one of the partners, said the firm will represent Farley in contract negotiations and also in book and clothing deals. Farley is developing her own clothing line.

Leeds Morelli & Brown also represented former Playmate Anna Nicole Smith in her fight for the billion-dollar estate of her husband, Texas oilman J. Howard Marshall II.

"They [Smith and Farley] come off as regular people," said Leeds. But he noted that Farley represents a new generation in American entertainment. He said that the other week, Farley and Paul McCartney were walking down a Miami street. Hordes of young people mobbed Farley. Only a few people came over to McCartney.

"The times, they are a-changing," Leeds said.
