Jackie Cuddy scored the winner with 1:05 left in the game as Syosset overcame a three-goal, second-half deficit for a 13-12 win over Our Lady of Mercy in non-league girls lacrosse Monday.

Trailing 11-8 with about 11 minutes left, Connor Bird and Trish Yutomo scored once and Delaney O'Keefe twice to give the Braves a 12-11 lead with 7:22 left. Sam Lynch (seven goals) tied the score at 12 for Our Lady of Mercy with 4:46 to go.

Cuddy had five goals, and Bird and O'Keefe three each. Kim Presuto had 12 saves in the win.

Sewanhaka 14, Great Neck South 13: Skylar Shimansky scored the winner off a feed from Yesenia Pallatta with 30 seconds remaining in the first half of overtime to lead Sewanhaka (3-0) in Nassau Conference V. Nicole Santoli had 16 saves, including two stops during the second half of the overtime to help secure the win. St. Dominic 13, St. Francis Prep 6: Danielle Weir had three goals and an assist and Jordan Coyne three goals to lead St. Dominic (1-0) in its CHSAA opener.

Whitman 13, Commack 6: Ian Zakow had three goals and three assists and Thomas Chimenti chipped in three goals and an assist to lift Whitman (2-2) in Suffolk Division I.
