BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Patriots linebacker James Harrison was a late addition to the team after he was released by the Steelers in December.

The 39-year-old Harrison, who has played 15 seasons, might retire following the Super Bowl LII loss to the Eagles.

“I don’t think it drives [me] any more than the last time,” Harrison, who signed a one-year deal with the Steelers before getting released due to a lack of playing time, said Sunday night. “Of course, it’s not the way you want to end the season. It is what it is. That’s it. [The Eagles] did a great job executing the offense and they did a great job executing the defense.”

If Sunday was Harrison’s last game, he finished with two tackles and two quarterback hits in the loss.

“They played better than we did,” Harrison said of the Eagles, who ran up 538 yards of total offense. “They did a good job of running the ball.”

Harrison, a five-time Pro Bowler, has won two Super Bowl titles in his career, both with the Steelers.

While Harrison was utilized a lot in Super Bowl LII, former Jets’ linebacker David Harris, who signed with the Patriots last summer, was inactive for the game.
