Jerry "The King" Lawler is more than just an announcer

Long before Jerry “The King” Lawler feuded with the Miz and Michael Cole, he had one of the fiercest rivalries with "Superstar" Bill Dundee.

To many WWE fans, The King is one of the voices behind some of the WWE’s greatest moments over the last decade and a half. But he’s much more than a broadcaster who loves “puppies” and Divas. Lawler was one of the greatest professional wrestlers of his time in Memphis, Tennessee.

Lawler had most if his success when wrestling was territorial; a far cry from the global brand that we have come to know with Vince McMahon’s WWE. Lawler had a mainstream feud with comedian Andy Kaufman which made its way all the way to David Letterman’s show.
