Jets blow lead in 16-13 loss to Dolphins

This is how you lose a football game: You miss two field goals, you allow a punt to be partially blocked and you handle your quarterback with kid gloves.

Despite a sterling effort by running back Chris Johnson, the Jets just couldn't muster enough offense or nail enough field goals to keep the Dolphins at bay, in a 16-13 loss at MetLife Stadium.

The Dolphins tied it at 13 on a 4-yard score by Lamar Miller with 10:24 left in the game. The touchdown was aided by a defensive holding penalty on special-teamer Saalim Hakim, which gave the Dolphins the ball at the Jets' 39.

And then -- to the elation of the raucous Dolphins fans that had invaded MetLife Stadium -- Nick Folk missed another field. The Jets kicker -- affectionately nicknamed "Folk Hero" by Rex Ryan -- kicked the ball wide left from 45 yards out.
