Jets' Mauldin carted off the field with apparent neck injury
It was all fun and games at MetLife Stadium as the Jets ran up the score in the season opener against the Browns until rookie linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin crumbled to the turf with what appeared to be a very serious injury.
Mauldin was eventually carted off the field on a spinal board after suffering head and neck injuries during the fourth quarter of yesterday's victory. While going for a tackle of quarterback Johnny Manziel, Mauldin found himself in an awkward position on the ground and several players fell on top of him.
It was a scary scene, as Jets players huddled around him, saying prayers for his health. Coach Todd Bowles said he had no update on Mauldin's condition after the game.
