The Elmont Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its first job fair Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Elmont Public Library, 700 Hempstead Tpke.

There will be a range of companies at the job fair including firms in banking, finance, retail, industrial supplies, real estate development and insurance.

Companies at the fair will include  Bethpage Federal Credit Union, AFLAC, Astoria Federal Savings, UPS, Fastenal Co., New York Life Insurance Co., Sleepy’s, New York Racing Association, Signature Homes Ltd., and Geico.

“Too many of our talented residents are unable to gain employment,” said Muzzio Tallini, a board member of the community business group. “The Elmont Chamber wants to bring together good companies looking to hire and introduce them to our talented residents who are ready, willing and able to fill these jobs.”

Employees will be looking for all type of applicants, Muzzio said. The job fair is free to employers and job seekers.
