Joseph Cumia, of Port Jefferson, is the lead guitarist of a U2 tribute band. He tweets on behalf of the band to keep in touch with fans. Cumia, a 52-year-old father, said the band often tours, and he uses Twitter to let followers know about their latest shows. “I am local, and we’re based on Long Island, but I do not consider us a local band at all. We’ve been all over the world.” The band’s tour stops have included Hawaii, South America and Central America.
