JPMorgan Chase has become the latest victim of a cyberattack and disclosed the details in a report with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The bank says hackers have compromised about 76 million customers, along with 7 million small businesses. Hackers stole customer email addresses, phone numbers and street addresses, but the report says there is no evidence any account information was compromised.
Financial experts say customers should not worry about their individual finances, but can take precautions like changing their passwords and PIN numbers on a rotating basis.
JPMorgan Chase says it is monitoring the situation.
