Julia Lerner, a senior at Half Hollow Hills High School East, has dedicated her life to the arts. While Julia is a gifted musician, her craftsmanship as a fine artist is indisputable. Her work is filled with incredible realism yet has a uniquely passionate quality all its own.
Julia spent the summer of 2010 attending the six-week outreach program at The Cooper Union. In 2009, she attended the New York State Summer School for the Arts, held at SUNY Fredonia, to study Visual Arts. She is a member of the National Art Honor Society, as well as the president of the Art Club.
In addition to achieving high honor roll every semester of high school, Julia is a member of the National Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She is the principal cellist in the school symphony orchestra and the Cross-Campus Chamber Orchestra and has consistently been selected for LISFA and SCMEA All-County Festivals.
