Hicksville, Huntington Station and Queens under flash flood warning
A flash flood warning is in effect for Hicksville, Huntington Station and Queens until 7:30 p.m., the National Weather Service said on Tuesday afternoon in a social media post.
The warning said an area with a population of 1,238,630, nine hospitals and 253 schools faces "potential exposure."
People in the area are urged to "move immediately to higher ground!"
