Justice LaMarca was a gentleman
Recently retired State Supreme Court Justice William R. LaMarca died April 7, 2011. He was 77.
I read with sadness of the passing of former Justice William R. LaMarca [News, April 9]. As an attorney, I was once Judge LaMarca's adversary in a lawsuit. Years later, after his ascendancy to the bench, I had the pleasure of trying a case before him.
Steven Schlesinger was right when he said Judge LaMarca was "a true gentleman judge." But Bill LaMarca was more. He was a true gentleman.
