One ring to bind them all: If the engagement ring worn by Kate Middleton when she and Prince William announced their upcoming nuptials Tuesday seemed familiar, you're right - it's the very ring William's father, Prince Charles, gave to Princess Diana.

"It is very special to me," William said Tuesday. "It was my way to make sure my mother did not miss out on today and the excitement that we are going to spend the rest of our lives together."

Following Diana's death in 1997, the ring - an oval sapphire surrounded by 14 rounds of diamonds set in 18-karat white gold - actually went to Prince Harry, according to AOL News. A source told the site, "Harry was happy to give the ring to his brother."
