Katie Poppe commits to Boston University

Holy Trinity guard Katie Poppe has decided to play college basketball at Boston University. Poppe, a 5-9 guard, was the CHSAA Player of the Year last season and a Newsday All-Long Island first-team selection.
Poppe surpassed the 1,000 point mark in the state quarterfinals last season. Poppe, an explosive scorer and three-point shooter, averaged 16.5 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals last season.
