Holy Trinity junior guard Katie Poppe just scored her 1,000th career point in a CHSAA Class A state first-round playoff game against Preston. She scored on a layup with 5:27 left in the third quarter. She needed 12 points to reach the milestone. She was just removed from the game with Holy Trinity winning 51-20.

Poppe was just named the CHSAA Player of the Year.
