The third annual Keith R. Cerrato Caddie Golf Tournament has been rescheduled again for Monday at Cherry Valley Club in Garden City.

The tournament, open to caddies from the metropolitan area, was originally scheduled for Aug. 15 but was postponed because of inclement weather. Rescheduled for Aug. 29, it was canceled again because of Tropical Storm Irene.

The tournament pays tribute to Cerrato, 24, who died in December 2006 when he was struck by a car as he crossed Hempstead Turnpike. Cerrato, of Garden City, was a caddie at Cherry Valley for more than 10 years and worked in the bag room and on the course.

The day will start at 11 a.m. and include a practice range, lunch, golf, a putting contest and an awards dinner at 5:30 p.m.

Net proceeds will go to the Keith Cerrato Charitable Fund Inc., which funds two scholarships for underprivileged students at Hofstra University and Chaminade High School, both of which Cerrato attended.

For more information, contact Keith Cerrato’s mother, Mary Lou Cerrato, at 516-456-3384 or via email at mloucer@aol.com.
