Kellenberg upsets St. John the Baptist

The struggles continue for St. John the Baptist, which suffered a 39-37 loss to Kellenberg today. Khadijah Donaldson had 11 points and eight rebounds and Katie Flynn had nine points and four assists. Kellenberg started the season well, but recently lost five consecutive games before winning two straight.

The loss puts St. John the Baptist in danger of failing to reach the AA playoffs for state. The top two teams in the regular season go to Class AA and teams three through five to to Class A. SJB is 5-4 in league play. The two seed could likely come down to the matchup against Holy Trinity, which beat SJB 59-54 the first time. Holy Trinity also has to play first-place St. Anthony's and is 4-3 in CHSAA play.
