St. Anthony's has ridden its defense all season. And that continued Friday night as the Friars topped Buffalo Nardin, 61-35, in a state CHSAA Class A girls basketball quarterfinal at St. Dominic.

Symone Kelly had 13 points and 18 rebounds and Mimi Lizza 13 points and four assists for St. Anthony's (22-6). Erin O'Brien had nine points for Nardin (12-12).

"Every game we play, it is all about the defense," Friars coach Ken Parham said.

The Friars play the winner of St. Francis Prep-Moore Catholic in a semifinal at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Dominic.
