Kensington to accept electronic waste
The Village of Kensington will for the first time accept electronic waste from residents, from Jan. 30 through Feb. 6.
Village residents can dispose of old computer equipment, televisions, phones, printers and videogame systems free of charge weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Village Hall (2 Nassau Dr.) in Great Neck. Batteries and kitchen appliances will not be accepted.
Kensington Mayor Susan Lopatkin said, “We’re providing a service so people don’t have to drive further” to the Town of North Hempstead drop-off center in Port Washington.
For more information, call Village Hall at 516-482-4409.
