 Here are the best of the best in Long Island girls soccer from the week of Oct. 7 to Oct. 13: 
 Bridget Patch, St. John the Baptist: The forward continued her sensational sophomore season with a goal and an assist in a 6-0 win over St. Mary’s. &nbsp;She has scored in nine out of SJB’s 11 games and is tied for the third most goals scored on Long Island with 14. 
 Kelsey Ford, South Side: The outside defender helped shutdown the Massapequa offense and assisted on the lone goal to lift the&nbsp;Cyclones to a 1-0 win in a showdown between two of Long Island's best teams.&nbsp; 
 Georgina Hydja, Lawrence: Tallied three goals and an assist in a 5-1 win over Westbury. 
 Emma O’Donnell and Alexa LoBosco, Connetquot: O’Donnell scored the game tying goal with 14 minutes remaining and then the winner in double overtime - both of which were set up on assists from&nbsp;LoBosco - to lift Connetquot to a 3-2 win over Half Hollow Hills East. 
 Alexa Higgins, Hicksville: (pictured) The goalkeeper recorded her ninth shutout of the season by stopping a penalty kick with 12 minutes remaining to seal a 2-0 win over Long Beach. 
 Jessica Bernstein, Plainview JFK: The freshman recorded the first hat trick of her career in a 5-0 win over Great Neck South. Making it even more memorable was the fact that her older sister Sara, a senior defender, scored her first goal of the season in the same game. 
 Lauren Fremgen, St. John the Baptist: The senior defender has been the anchor on the back line for St. John the Baptist and&nbsp;also a scoring threat on free kicks. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Shannon Horgan, Long Beach: Midway through the second half of a 5-1 win over Port Washington, the senior forward scored on a breakaway to record her fourth goal of the day, setting a new career-high. She now has 13 goals on the season. 
 Shannen Gillespie, West Islip: Found the back of the net twice in double overtime to lift West Islip to a 3-0 win over Smithtown East and help the Lions clinch the League III title.
