Kicking competition: 'Let them fight it out'
Jason Sanders and Cade York will continue their competition for the Jets’ kicking job. York would seem to have a slight edge based on what we’ve seen in practice.
In Friday’s game, York hit both of his field-goal attempts (27, 38). Sanders drilled his lone field goal from 47 yards and made an extra point. There’s two more weeks of practice and two preseason games to go.
“I thought both of them hit the ball well,” Aaron Glenn said. “Let’s see how it goes throughout camp, let them fight it out. We’re still in camp mode, so we’ll see how that goes.”
