George Haines’ eighth-grade tech class at Sts. Philip and James School in St. James stole the show Wednesday at a Twitter conference in Manhattan, upstaging geeks and wannabe geeks and getting the audience to moo, baa and oink on cue.

At the ᐌonf, held at the 92nd Street Y and organized by tweetgenius and Hofstra University alum Jeff Pulver, the class shared its experiences of learning all about George Orwell’s “Animal Farm” in part by using Twitter.

The class put on an entertaining skit that showcased their knowledge of the novella and got audience members to reply using animals sounds.
