Kids Stuff: Special needs

Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck hosts an open house for prospective campers with special needs and their families from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Meet the camp director, nurse and office manager. The camp also has announced its spring weekend respite schedule for children; weekends include May 14 to 16 and June 11 to 13.

The Sixth Annual "Ladies Night Out" benefits The K.I.S.S. Center (Kids In Special Services) at the Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center in Plainview. The event at 7 p.m. May 5 at the Woodbury Jewish Center, 200 Southwoods Rd. in Woodbury features cocktails, dinner, a DJ, dancing, shopping and raffles. Tickets are $80 a person. The K.I.S.S. Center offers services to children and teens with developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, language delay, ADHD, Asperger's and autism spectrum disorders. 516-822-3535, ext. 358; miyjcc.org.

Pump It Up indoor inflatables playgrounds in Cedarhurst, Islip, Great Neck and Plainview are participating in the nationwide "Bounce for Autism" event tomorrow. For a donation to the Autism Society, families enjoy open play. Cedarhurst is $19.99 a child, the others are $15 a child. Adults don't pay. You must call in advance to make a reservation.
