Kidsday: A special American Girls doll
I just love my American Girls dolls and have been collecting them for years. I love each one, from the historical dolls down to the Girl of the Year. But this year, I got the surprise of my life when they announced the name of the new 2012 Girl of the Year. It was going to be McKenna, and that's my 5-year-old sister's name. I was shocked, and a little sad that it was not going to be called Madison.
If you ask me, McKenna is kind of an odd name, I guess one of a kind, and the only McKenna I have ever met was my sister. But, of course, my parents and sister were excited. So, I guess maybe the 2012 Girl of the Year will be the best one yet. But I am still going to hold out hope for next year. And the year after. You never know!
A creative cupcake business
We love Sugar B. Cupcakes by Valerie McPhail. She is an administrative assistant in our school. Besides working here, she has her own cupcake business, but we are lucky to get lots of her treats in our school!
Her cupcakes are amazing because she uses fondant, gum paste and modeling chocolate. She uses all kinds of flavors of frosting, such as strawberry, chocolate, vanilla and many more. Her cupcakes match the kind of event you're having. For example, if you're having a boat-themed party, she can make fish, bait and starfish. If you're having a fashion-themed party, she can make purses or shoes. If you're having a nature-themed party, she can make flowers and butterflies.
She really is talented and that's why Sugar B. Cupcakes are our favorite. Her assistant, Colleen Keaney, works in our school as the technology coordinator.

Hot Wheels camera
The Hot Wheels Video Racer Micro Camera Car can film all different things, including tricks, stunts, friends, pets, races and a lot more.
I went outside on my scooter and attached it. The videotaping is awesome, but the screen was very dark. I thought it was because it was dark outside, but when I came inside, all the lights were turned on and it was still dark.
I thought it was awesome, but the brightness needs a little work. My guess is you need a lot of sunlight.
