Kidsday: He's the Guy! (Chef Guy Fieri)

We visited Guy Fieri's Guy's American Kitchen and Bar restaurant in Times Square. Guy had been criticized for not having enough healthy choices on his menu. Well, it is all different now! The foods we tasted were the healthy choice options from the Kids Menu.

First, we had grilled chicken with salad, which we all agreed was amazing. Next, we had spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti was made of whole- wheat pasta and the meatballs were ground turkey, and the dish was out of this world. After we finished this course, we took a break and toured the restaurant. We could not believe how huge it is. There are three floors with lots of dining space and lots and lots of TVs. We even liked the music that was piped in. Not too loud, just right. The themes of the restaurant are rock and roll and America, and it was fun to look at all of the pictures, signs and slogans.

When we got back to the table, we had chicken quesadillas made with whole-wheat tortillas and pico de gallo sauce. To end a great experience, we received a special commemorative menu for our tasting. It was great food and a great experience. Go online to guyfieri.com and click on restaurants.
