Kidsday: We love Denny's breakfast
We went to breakfast at Denny's because they have a brand new kids menu and we wanted to see if it was any good. We thought it was fantastic!
When we got to Denny's, we didn't have to wait. We were seated quickly. On the kid's menu, there were word searches, coloring and a maze so while you wait for your food, you won't get bored. Ryan and Collin had a huge pancake with raspberry syrup. Denny's used the raspberry syrup to decorate the pancake to look like a softball. Anabel had chocolate chip pancakes that came with bacon. Emily had the Jr. Grand Slam with eggs, one sausage and a strip of bacon. That is a pancake and you can choose your topping, so if you wanted two sausages or two pieces of bacon, you could get that instead.
We all tried the Cinnamon Puppies and Strawberry Puppies. They are like munchkins, but you dip them in syrup. We thought the food was terrific, amazing, delicious and perfect. You can get a drink for breakfast that comes in a special sports cup. You can choose a soccer cup, a football cup, or a golf cup.
The cups were different colors, and it costs $1.99 with a drink. Then you get to keep the cup. Denny's also added Smoothies to their menu. The flavors are Groovy Mango, Strawberry Banana Bliss and Sweet Georgia Peach. We think that you should go to Denny's for breakfast because you'll get great service and great food. You can even ask for Marcela -- she was our waitress at the Centereach Denny's when we went, and we think she should win the Employee of the Month.
