It was only a matter of time.
One of the many famous-for-being-famous folks populating reality TV, the gossip sites and "leaked" sex tapes, Kim Kardashian released her first official music single yesterday. Ryan Seacrest had the honor - if you can call it that - of debuting the dance track "Jam (Turn It Up)" on his Los Angeles-based KISS-FM radio show.
"It's only normal for me to be nervous," Kardashian said before Seacrest played the tune. "I'm human, I never sang before. This was definitely something I don't do, so for me to step outside my comfort zone to do this . . . is like a really big deal."
Uh-huh, like totally! Maybe you should be nervous. Or something.
Instead of singing, Kardashian actually talks her way through the song (most annoying part? The loop of her saying, "They playin' my jam"). It will, nonetheless, get the young and clueless to shake it in the clubs. Produced by The-Dream and Auto-Tuned to the hilt, "Jam" also posits such gems as: "Got my hands up / Gonna celebrate like it's my birthday / Five more shots of tequila, I'm thirsty."
Somehow, five shots doesn't seem like enough to choke this down.
