Kings Park Chamber of Commerce president Charles Gardner was sworn in for a new term last week.

Gardner, former president of the Kings Park board of education, has led the chamber since 2001. He is director of government affairs for the Long Island chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association, and he is a former Suffolk County commissioner of consumer affairs.

Gardner and other chamber leaders were sworn at a luncheon meeting at the Kings Park Veterans of Foreign Wars hall.

The chamber’s other leaders are executive vice president Jack Hessel, first vice president Anthony Leteri, second vice president Leo Ostebo, treasurer Alex Barnych, secretary Ed McElhone Jr., and directors Mike Hanley, David Mirabella, Bill Butler, James Pavese, Peri Wallack, John Flynn and Anthony Salucci.

Terms for the president and other officers are one year; directors serve two-year terms. Chamber members elect directors, who then vote for the officers.
