C.J. Ciserano drew a double team and found Billy Kopsky on the wing, who scored with 3:59 to give Hauppauge a 6-5 win over West Islip in Suffolk Division I boys lacrosse yesterday.

Alex Donnarumma had 13 saves, including a stop from 10 yards with a second left to seal it.

Justin Zelen had three goals and an assist for Hauppauge, which defeated West Islip for the first time in school history, coach Jim Konen said.

Bay Shore 9, Whitman 8: Matt Ilchuk scored the winner from behind the cage with 2:12 remaining to lift Bay Shore in Division I. Andrew Darcy scored three goals for Bay Shore, including the tying score off a feed from Jake Sheets with 11:38 left. Luke Pacella scored three goals and Ilchuk finished with two goals and one assist.

Chaminade 7, Massapequa 4: Sean Cerrone had four goals, including an unassisted man-down score 13 seconds into the third quarter that gave Chaminade a 4-3 lead in non-league. Thomas O'Connell had a goal and an assist and goalie Matthew Insardi had 10 saves in the win.

Hicksville 7, Locust Valley 6: Brian Lang scored with 1:20 left to put Hicksville ahead 7-5 in non-league. Goalie Ryan Toomey had 16 saves in the win.GIRLS LACROSSE

Babylon 8, Westhampton 7: Kaileen Hart scored with 1:47 left to win it for Babylon in Division II. Shelby Fredericks and Hallie Merz had three goals and Celina Saffioti made six saves in the win.

Wantagh 6, North Shore 4: Kaitlyn Cerasi scored with 4:49 left to give Wantagh a 6-3 lead in Nassau Conference I. Brenna Connolly scored three goals and Grace Beshlian made 10 saves in the win.

Garden City 12, Cold Spring Harbor 6: Tara DeAngelo and Kerry Defliese each had hat tricks for Garden City in Conference I.

Manhasset 14, South Side 5: Erin Barry, Kathryn Hallet, Lindsey Ronbeck and Sarah Phillips each scored two goals and Erin Coleman made four saves for Manhasset in Conference I. Hempstead 8, Roosevelt 7: Kayla Green had three goals, including the winner with 3:30 left in the game as Hempstead picked up its first win in three years, coach Patti Ortmann said. Karen Lopez added two goals and Amanda Chincilla made seven saves for the Tigers. BASEBALLCenter Moriches 13, Mercy 2: Kevin O'Brien went 5-for-5 with eight RBIs to lead Center Moriches in Suffolk League VIII.

Plainview JFK 6, Freeport 2: Chris Tracz went 2-for-3 with a home run and Charlie Basedow struck out eight and allowed one earned run in four innings of one-hit ball for Plainview JFK in non-league.

SOFTBALLGarden City 10, Cold Spring Harbor 7: Erin Cunningham's three-run triple in the bottom of the sixth gave Garden City an 8-7 lead in Nassau Conference ABC-III. Melissa Ward struck out 13 in a complete game.

Oyster Bay 5, Seaford 3: Dana Galgano struck out five and scattered six hits with no walks for Oyster Bay in Conference ABC-II. Olivia Agostinello went 1-3 with two RBIs in the win.

GIRLS BADMINTONFreeport 4, Oyster Bay 3: Miya Hancock and Bianca Lavaud defeated Claudia Mastrogiancono and Amanda Cooper in the deciding fourth doubles match, 21-19, 21-15, for Freeport. Valley Stream North 4, Elmont 3:Kaysha Forbes beat Norvilia Etienne 21-15, 21-8 in first singles for Valley Stream North. Forbes, a senior, hasn't lost a regular season match in three years, coach Thomas Schiavo said.

BOYS VOLLEYBALLKellenberg 3, St. Francis Prep 1: Michael Fulop and Connor Goss each had 14 kills in a 22-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-11 CHSAA win for Kellenberg. Ryan Branigan had 38 assists and Phillip Bies had 37 digs in the win.
