Travelers were evacuated from the central terminal at LaGuardia Airport yesterday after reports of a suspicious package, which later turned out to contain harmless parts of a light fixture, a spokesman for the Port Authority said.

Terminal B was evacuated about 10:30 a.m. after a report of a device with exposed wires. The all-clear came about an hour later and flights resumed.
