Lake Grove man killed in motorcycle crash
Richard Anzalone, 21, of Lake Grove was killed in a motorcycle crash late Thursday night in Commack, Suffolk County police said. A 21-year-old Lake Grove man was killed in a Commack motorcycle crash, Suffolk County police said Friday.
Richard Anzalone was on his 2008 Suzuki motorcycle on southbound Indian Head Road Thursday night when he hit a curb, lost control of the bike, was ejected and landed in the parking lot of Christ the King Church, police said.
Anzalone was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center after the 11:45 p.m. crash, but was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.
Anzalone was traveling at "a high rate of speed" and that may have played a role in the crash, police said.
