The final month of the fantasy baseball season is here and many people have given up on their teams. Hopefully, you haven't and are still in the hunt for a championship. If so, here are some players that can boost your team.

Clay Hensley (Marlins, P): Marlins interim manager Edwin Rodriguez said Hensley will close for now. Leo Nuñez has blown three of his last six saves and has allowed 10 earned runs over his last 10 2/3 innings. Hensley has a 2.67 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP with a 66/23 K/BB ratio in 60 2/3 innings.

Fernando Rodney (Angels, P): He's closing once again and has converted both opportunities so far. He has a 3.79 ERA, including a 2.25 ERA in August.

Jordan Zimmermann (Nationals, P): While Stephen Strasburg garners most of the attention in Washington, Zimmermann is pretty good himself. He didn't pitch well statistically in his first start back from Tommy John surgery, but the velocity was fine. He was dominant in his second start against the Marlins. He threw six scoreless innings, allowing one hit, no walks and struck out nine. Keep him in mind for next season, too.

Rick Porcello (Tigers, P): After a rough first half, he has pitched better since the All-Star break. He doesn't get a lot of strikeouts, but he has permitted two earned runs or less in four of his last five starts.

Brian Matusz (Orioles, P): Many people thought he was a Rookie of the Year contender but he did nothing to justify that belief the first few months. But he has had a strong August, going 4-1 with a 2.43 ERA and 1.08 WHIP. In 37 innings, he allowed 33 hits, walked seven and struck out 26.

Ian Kennedy (Diamondbacks, P): It's no coincidence that he has excelled the past five starts because he has allowed just one home run after surrendering 23 in his first 22 starts. In the five starts, he is 3-0 and in 32 innings, he has allowed 28 hits, 12 earned runs, nine walks, and struck out 32.

Daric Barton (A's, 1B): Barton has been on fire with 20 hits in his last 49 at-bats to go along with three home runs and seven RBIs.

Mike Minor (Braves, P): Minor is 3-0 in four starts with a 3.91 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. He has a 26/7 K/BB ratio in 23 innings and should be owned in mixed leagues.

Carlos Carrasco (Indians, P): He'll be in the starting rotation for the rest of the month. In his first start, he went 7 1/3 innings and allowed six hits, three runs, one walk, and struck out four.

Brandon Allen (Diamondbacks, 1B): He has also played some outfield in the minors and that's where he'll likely play. Allen has good power and hit a grand slam in his first start Wednesday.
