Late touchdown lifts East Rockaway
Sean Bohan connected with Luke Fahrenkrug on a 50-yard touchdown pass with 1:59 left to give East Rockaway a 14-6 win over Island Trees yesterday in Nassau IV football.
Cameron Ralph found Bohan for the two-point conversion. Nick Ulip scored on a 7-yard run with 11:39 left in the fourth quarter to tie it at 6 for East Rockaway (1-0).
Tom Dolan had 19 tackles in the win.
Island Trees is 0-1.
Malverne 12, North Shore 7: Aaron Hill rushed for 119 yards on eight carries, including a 58-yard touchdown run to lead Malverne (1-0). North Shore is 0-1.
West Hempstead 41, Oyster Bay 14: Tayvon Hall (62 yards rushing) and Justin Boatwright (98 yards on 8 carries) each scored two first-half touchdowns for West Hempstead (1-0). Oyster Bay is 0-1. Seaford 25, Cold Spring Harbor 7:Chris Trotta went 5-for-7 for 98 yards and two TDs for Seaford (1-0) in its 44th straight conference win. Locust Valley 26, Mineola 6: Callum Ewen returned a kickoff 82 yards in the second quarter to give Locust Valley (1-0) a 20-6 lead. Tom McNamara had three sacks in the win. Mineola is 0-1.
