Lauren "Boogie" Brozoski, the reigning Newsday Long Island Player of the year in Girls Basketball, has committed to play at the University of Michigan for the 2015-2016 season, she confirmed to Newsday via text.

Brozoski, a junior, led Long Island Lutheran to the state Federation Class A Championship last season while averaging nearly 20 points, six assists and two steals per game.

She was the first sophomore to earn Newsday's Long Island Player of the Year honor in Girls Basketball, and has been a First-Team Newsday All-Long Island selection twice.
