Lazy Days of Summer event planned in Levittown

The Levittown Community Council will sponsor the 16th annual Lazy Days of Summer event on Saturday.

The free event, an offshoot of Levittown’s 50th anniversary celebration in 1997, will offer games, entertainment and activities. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the East Village Green Park, near the Jerusalem Avenue Pool on Jerusalem Avenue and Meridian Road in Levittown.

The event will feature a shark tank, fish reeling tank, pony rides, a petting zoo, bounce ride, bubble table, face painting, temporary tattoos, pirate treasure chest, and fishing pond among other activities, organizers said.

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and a picnic lunch. The event is sponsored with donations of several local businesses.
