The Town of Babylon has approved a contract with a Farmingdale company for fireworks this summer.
The $20,000 contract with Bay Fireworks is for the annual fireworks display at Beach Blast, the town’s summer send-off, which will be held on Aug. 27. The rain date is Aug. 28.
The town board approved the contract at its meeting Tuesday.
The 17th annual fireworks display will be held at Overlook Beach to cap off the free, day-long celebration.
Beach Blast, which is for town residents only, will feature music acts, rides, games, face-painting, concession stands and an ice cream-eating contest.
