Letter: Bus service is overcrowded

In your editorial, "A chance to get LI Bus deal right" [Dec. 9], you stated that Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano and his staff are now going through the due diligence.
Well, this is a good time to have Mangano tell the existing managers of Long Island Bus to get off their duffs and actually go out and ride the buses on the N6 line. It has been total chaos and bedlam at the 169th Street stop in Jamaica during evening rush hours.
Ever since they consolidated some of the lines, the riders have to act like cattle trying to get into a stockyard. And what is even worse is while we are waiting there for more than 20 minutes, we're constantly seeing N22 or N24 buses going to Roosevelt Field with very few passengers.
