Letter: Give tax breaks for manufacturing

I have an idea for how to get America back on its feet. Anyone who opens a manufacturing plant and pays workers at least $15 dollars an hour, along with health and pension benefits, should not have to pay any taxes for 10 years.

After 10 years, they would begin to pay taxes, but starting at 10 percent of what they owe, and increasing by 10 percentage points every year afterward until they reach 100 percent. This would be a sure way to get manufacturing back to America.

This would reduce our balance of trade deficits and increase employment, so that people could start paying for their own goods and services. It would get the local economy to thrive again. Hopefully the president or members of Congress will read this and say, what a great idea.

I can't wait to buy shoes, shirts, jackets and other items made in America. Let's bring the jobs back to America.
