In an effort to be the poster boy for the Dream Act, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas confessed that he is an illegal immigrant, brought here by his mother when he was 12 ["Deportation program casts too wide a net," Opinion, June 24].

He said that he had two forged driver's licenses and a fake green card, not to mention that he filed several perjured I-9 work eligibility forms. Though Vargas may not be an illegal alien by choice, he is a lawbreaker several times over, by the choices he has made as a man. He must be deported.
