Letter: Keep that red-light money coming

Wow! Money generated by red-light cameras in Nassau County is diminishing as motorists become more careful ["Red-Light revenue drop seen," News, March 30]. Here are suggestions to increase the revenue:
-- Increase the time required to stop at a red light, before turning right, from an eternal 3 seconds to 5 seconds.
-- Vary right-on-red legality on a random basis.
-- Shorten yellow lights to half of what they are now and vary this time weekly.
-- Forbid entering intersections on Sunday mornings so everyone who drives through is cited.
-- Place cameras at every intersection on the Island to prevent folks from venturing out at all. Think of how few accidents there will be.
