Students should be responsible for debt

In reference to "Wealthy colleges should forgive loans" [Letters, June 10], why? Why is everyone who has bitten off more than he or she can chew looking to blame others?

Someone was nice enough to give you a student loan. Be nice enough to pay it back. Don't cry foul because times are bad.

Maybe the student should have just gone to a community college if he or she didn't want the expense of paying back a huge loan. Life is all about taking chances. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. Deal with it.

Don't cry about it, and try to have others pay for your losses.
