The Levittown Community Council will host a meeting Monday at 7:30 p.m. to educate parents about juvenile offenders and the law.

Attorney and family law practitioner Lewis C. Edelstein will speak to the community about the law and the arraignment process. Edelstein will discuss citation, detention, what an arraignment is, how long a child can be held in custody, what kind of representation is needed, and what penalties can be imposed.

The meeting will take place in the culinary arts room of the Levittown Memorial Education Center at 150 Abbey Lane.
