Customers of Lewis' Dry Cleaners in Westbury were left high and dry today after learning it was now out of business.
Customers looking to pick up their belongings were met with an empty store and signs informing them that their clothing will be held by a storage company for up to 30 days.
The landlord says the owner fell behind on his rent and was evicted.
Now, the landlord has been been working with county officials to get the clothing released. The items could be available to customers as early as Friday.
